MEET THE CHEF

Culinary Education and Experience
Will Cranfill, a graduate of the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in Boulder, Colorado, has developed a deep appreciation for sourcing high-quality, local ingredients from the start of his culinary journey. He has honed his skills in various dining establishments, including those in the Rocky Mountains, Southern fine dining restaurants in South Carolina, and a farm-to-fork guest ranch in Southern Utah.

Passions and Inspirations
Will’s love for farming, art, and creating convivial dining experiences has guided his career. Now residing in the Appalachian Mountains, he continues to expand his culinary knowledge. Inspired by diverse cultures, family traditions, and personal travels, Will is passionate about sharing his culinary experiences. He aims to provide dining experiences that deepen connections to food, friends, and family, bringing the essence of his journey to your table.

With Cranfill Culinary, I aim to make working with me a seamless and enjoyable experience. My process is designed to be straightforward and client-focused:

  1. Initial Consultation: We will start with a free consultation to understand your culinary needs, preferences, and goals.
  2. Custom Menu Creation: Based on your preferences, we design a personalized menu tailored to your tastes.
  3. Planning & Scheduling: Once the menu is finalized, we will schedule your event and take care of all the logistics, including ingredient sourcing.
  4. Event Execution: On the day of the event, I will handle everything from setup to service, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
  5. Post-Event Follow-Up: After the event, I will follow up to ensure satisfaction and discuss any future culinary needs.

Our company’s dinner with Chef Will was an incredible experience. The meal – customized to the dietary needs of each team member – was plated and served on time, tasted delicious, and presented beautifully. Chef Will actually grew many of the vegetables he prepared, and locally sourced all of his ingredients. The kitchen and dining area was spotless after he was done. He was personable, kind, and an incredible chef! We will definitely consider using him again next time we return to the area.

Chef Will was nothing short of amazing.
We had him cook for a group of 9, breakfast and dinner each day for 4 days.
He went above and beyond to provide everything we needed. The food was incredible, with little details all along the way that shows his versatility and understanding of ingredients and techniques to make each meal individualized for each of us.  We had several people with food allergies and special requests and the week was perfect.
He even brought us fire wood and picked up all our groceries for us each day.  His personally for our group perfectly and we can’t wait to do another trip just so we can hire him again.

I have taken my two daughters to a lovely home at Lake Lure for the week as a relaxing time for the two of them! I decided to treat ourselves to a never before experience! A private chef experience!!! Will Cranfill was our chef and let me tell you…it was one of the best treats we’ve ever had!!! He was so pleasant to be around and, wow…he can cook!! We started with bacon wrapped asparagus then he served is a beet salad with beets from his own garden, then we were served beef tenderloin with a spinach souffle, garlic broccoli and glazed carrots!!! And to top it off we were served an acorn squash pie with fresh whipped cream!!! OMG!! Everything was so tasty!!! We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves any more than we did with delightful chef Will Cranfill!!! Thank you dear for such an amazing experience with awesome food & service!!
